Northern Virginia District Training Day is designed to give church leaders support, training, and inspiration for another year in Ministry.
2 Keynote Speakers. 40+ Additional Workshops.
Over the last 2.5 years we have needed to learn how to be resilient and adapt to the messiness of constant change. As we realize that the mess is not going away, we now need tools to sustain us today and in the foreseeable future. We are SO excited to welcome Kate Bowler AND Tod Bolsinger as our NoVa District Training Day keynote speakers to help give us context and perspective as we navigate the challenges ahead.

REGISTER
This year our schedule looks a bit different. We will all log into the first Keynote Presentation (Kate Bowler) at 9:00 for opening remarks, introductions, and some information about our day. Kate Bowler will begin speaking at 9:30.
Then, at 11:15 we will move to the second Keynote Presentation (Tod Bolsinger) together.
At 12:45 we break for lunch and all additional workshop content releases. Spend your afternoon exploring the prerecorded workshops that will enhance your ministry.

This year we have not one but TWO awesome Keynote Speakers for you. Kate Bowler will speak live at 9:30 a.m. and Tod Bolsinger will speak live at 11:15 a.m. Don't miss the opportunity to hear from these amazing authors and leaders!
CEUs
Participants in Northern Virginia Training Day may receive .5 CEU credit by attending both live Keynote sessions AND reading BOTH "No Cure for Being Human (And Other Truths I Need to Hear)" by Kate Bowler and "Tempered Resilience: How Leaders Are Formed in the Crucible of Change" by Tod Bolsinger.
If you would like to receive a .5 CEU certificate after the event and commit to all of the above, be sure to check the CEU box when you register!
Why Virtual?
Believe it or not, we begin planning for our next Training Day event the moment the previous event ends. We’ve been working on this event since early 2022 and have been in conversation with Kate and Tod for many months.
When we began planning for 2023 vaccines were still not available for small children and we were in the middle of an intense virus spike. We also know that January is typically a difficult period of cold/flu in our area and, of course, the weather is unpredictable.
Additionally, our attendees have provided great positive feedback about the ability to participate in as many workshops as they desire while using a virtual format as well as the benefits of having additional time in which to view and digest the content.
Taking all of those factors into consideration as well as the constraints of our desired speakers’ calendars and proximity, we made the decision in early 2022 to hold the 2023 Bi-District Training Day (now NoVa District Training Day) in a virtual format.
It is our desire to provide a hybrid option in 2024. But, in the meantime, we hope that you will once again attend our virtual event.
We’d love for you to consider participating in this year’s NoVa District Training Day with a team of persons from your church–watching the keynote presentations together and discussing them with one another over lunch.

FAQs
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
This year we are offering four different ticket types.
Day-Of Pass: For $30 you can purchase a Day-Of Pass. This will allow you to participate in both of the live webinar sessions with our Keynote Speakers and will give you access to all other Training Day content for 24 hours.
All-Access Pass: For $50 you can purchase an All-Access Pass. This will allow you to participate in both of the live webinar sessions with our Keynote Speakers and will give you access to all other Training Day content until July 15, 2023.
We are also offering two different TEAM tickets. We'd love for you to participate in NoVa Training Day with a team from your church. This year we are offering Team Pricing to help you do that. We have a 5-person ticket for $175 and a 10-person ticket for $350 available from now until January 5. These tickets are discounted and will hopefully enable you to include more people from your church in NoVa District Training Day. Team tickets will allow participants to access all Training Day content for six months but are only being sold until January 5, 2023.
HOW MANY WORKSHOPS SHOULD I CHOOSE?
You can choose as many workshops as you want. There is no limit to the number of workshops you select. If you want access to EVERYTHING you will want to be sure to select them all. If you only want to participate in the keynote sessions, you can simply select the keynote presentations. But, and this is really important, if you want to receive the direct link to participate in a workshop, you MUST select it from the 'choose your workshops' screen. DO I HAVE TO PARTICIPATE ON JAN. 14?
If you want to participate in the live keynote presentations with Kate Bowler and Tod Bolsinger, then YES you have to participate on January 14. If you want access to all content for an extended period of time, you will want to choose the All-Access Pass. Those who purchase a Day-Of pass will have 24 hours to access the content.
CAN I REGISTER MORE THAN ONE PERSON AT A TIME?
Because the experience is so customizable using this virtual platform, each ticket must be purchased individually. Every ticket is linked to a specific email address and each ticket corresponds to the 'schedule' (the list of workshops) as selected by the purchaser and that person's unique ID. If you choose to purchase one of our TEAM tickets, you will purchase it using one of your team members' email addresses and select the workshops that person desires. Upon completion of that registration that purchaser (think of that person like the team captain) will receive a unique URL to share with the other members of the team. Those persons will then use that special URL to select their classes and proceed with their own registration at no charge.

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT WORKSHOPS ARE BEING OFFERED?
There are a number of ways to learn about the workshops being offered at Training Day.

You can visit the Speakers page and learn about who is offering their time and talents at this year's event.
HOW DO I GET TO MY VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS?
Once you have completed your ticket purchase you will be sent an email confirmation receipt and a workshop schedule. That schedule will include links to each workshop you chose during the registration process. You will also be able to access the content on January 14 by visiting the same website you use to register and using the menu links and navigation tools that will be active on that website when the event begins.

Unlike physical conferences where you can end up sitting through content you just don't need, Northern Virginia District Training Day is delivered entirely online. Come for the Keynote presentations and take in a workshop or two, or catch them all. It’s up to you!

We are excited to offer not one but TWO keynote speakers at this, the first annual NoVa District Training Day.

PLEASE NOTE: THE DEADLINE FOR PURCHASING DISCOUNTED TEAM TICKETS HAS PASSED. You are still welcomed and encouraged to purchase individual tickets and to gather to watch and discuss.
We'd love for you to participate in NoVa Training Day with a team from your church. This year we are offering Team Pricing to help you do that. We have a 5-person ticket and a 10-person ticket available from now until January 5.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Team tickets will allow each team member FULL access to ALL content for 6 months. To purchase a TEAM ticket, the first member of the team (think of that person as the team captain) will visit our ticketing page and select either the 5-person or the 10-person ticket using the captain's email address. Then the captain will select his or her desired workshops and complete the purchase.
Next, our staff will send that team captain a unique URL that will allow the remaining team members to complete the process of securing an all-access pass without cost. The captain will then share that unique URL with team members so that they can get registered.
Each team member MUST go through the registration process (the first to purchase the team ticket, the remaining members using their unique 'free' URL) to choose their desired workshops and link them to their individual email addresses. All Team Tickets must be purchased and team members registered by January 5.
WHO GETS THE CONTENT?
Each registered team member will have their own schedule and workshop list linked to their own email address. Team members can gather together on the day of (we encourage you to do so!) and participate in the live keynotes together OR team members can watch individually from their own locations. In order to log in on January 14 and beyond, one simply needs to use an email address entered during the registration process.
