About this speaker
Donovan leads the Love Your Neighbor Network, a network of neighborhood churches. As the pastor of the Love Your Neighbor Network, his role is to help individuals who sense God’s call to spiritual leadership lead beyond the walls of the church in unconventional spaces. He is passionate about the non-traditional model of church and is passionate about bringing others alongside him in this work. His desire for a new type of church and faith life expressions is contagious.
He is a missionary at heart, and he understands that the way we participate in church is evolving. He believes Christians are called to be the church by being missional---- the actual hands and feet of Christ in the world. He believes that the four walls are only one way to serve Christ and others, and that we are called to the uttermost parts of the world and neighborhood churches are one of the ways we live that out
Pastor Donovan is a former broadcast journalist and public relations specialist. He is also a church planter at heart and has worked in the missions and church planting world for over a decade. Currently, he is a Doctoral student at Wesley Theological Seminary where he is exploring Effective Christian Leadership and Digital Ministry. His goal is to find innovative ways to help the church have a larger footprint in the digital age.
When Donovan is not leading the Love Your Neighbor Network you can find him looking for new hats to add to his collection, laughing at romantic comedies or action/adventure movies, out in the town with his wife and children, or video podcasting.
